INAUGURAL POSTER FOR THE TEATRO REGIO DI PARMA 1829
Reproduction of the poster printed for the Teatro Regio di Parma’s opening evening on 16 May 1829.
The Teatro Regio di Parma, then the Nuovo Teatro Ducal di Parma, as wanted by Duchess Maria Luigia, was inaugurated on 16 May 1829 with the opera Zaira, composed for the occasion by Vincenzo Bellini.
With this precious reproduction, relive the emotions of that evening two hundred years ago and recall the entire spring season of 1829 that saw, besides La Zaira by Vincenzo Bellini, Mosè e Faraone by Gioachino Rossini and Colombo by Luigi Ricci and two great dances Oreste e Ines di Castro, conceived and composed by Antonio Cortesi.
