SEMPRE PIÙ VERDI: REGIO SOSTENIBILE
For a cultural institution such as Teatro Regio di Parma, talking about sustainability means taking responsibility for our impact not only in economic, social, and cultural terms, but also in environmental terms. This commitment cuts across all areas: artistic production, resource management, relations with the local community, training, administrative transparency and environmental protection.
The sustainability of the Teatro Regio is based on four pillars:
- sustainability report;
- green policy and action plan;
- sustainability representatives;
- Theatre green book.
Sustainability report
Economic sustainability: continuity and administrative stability, ability to plan for the long term, a prerequisite for artistic ambition.
Social sustainability: inclusion and accessibility, new audiences and territory (Verdi Off, Regio Young, Under30 Rehearsals…), culture as civic infrastructure.
Environmental sustainability: governance & internal culture, energy and buildings, mobility, production and purchasing, resources and waste.
Green Policy and action plan
Governance and action plan: sustainability manager and representatives, sustainability policy, communication plan, accessible communication, staff training.
Energy and emissions reduction: energy consumption, travel and accommodation, sustainable mobility to reach the Theater, digitization.
Responsible production and resource management: waste management, staging and furnishings, collection and reuse of staging, transport of materials, personal hygiene products.
Accessibility and inclusion: accessibility, social clauses and employees protection, events for all.
Sustainability representatives
