Born in Rome in 1962, Martino Faggiani graduated with honours in piano and harpsichord. He also studied composition and holds a high-school diploma in classical studies. As assistant to Norbert Balatsch in all of his roman productions, he collaborated with the most important conductors. He has directed the Santa Cecilia Youth Choir since 1996. Since 2000, he has been the Choir Master of Teatro Regio in Parma. In 2008 he was also appointed as Chef des Choeurs at the La Monnaie Theatre in Brussels. Among his recorded performances, we remember all of Verdi’s operas.
