Born in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, Krassen Karagiozov trained in the State Conservatory as both a concert pianist and singer. Upon finishing his time as a Principal Resident Artist at Opera San Jose, Karagiozov has since performed in symphonic halls and opera theaters all over America and internationally, with music that spans the classic-modern eras. Krassen Karagiozov’s roles include Rigoletto, Conte di Luna, Enrico, Germont, Eugene Onegin, Belcore, Guglielmo, Escamillo, Marcello, Figaro, Papageno, Sharpless, Vronsky, Count Almaviva, Don Giovanni, Silvio, Schaunard, Lescaut, Masetto or Gianni Schicchi and many others.
